Woolwich Under 11’s 3, Hackney Under 11’s 1
Hackney dominated the early stages at Kidbrooke but conceded the opening goal to Woolwich after fifteen minutes. The visitors were soon back on terms when the lively Anselmo Gomes Co’ touched in Connor Alloway’s deep right-wing cross.
Hackney took their ascendency into the second half but frustration set in when they could not find a way past Woolwich’s packed defence and excellent goalkeeper. The visitors’ normal passing football and organisation deserted them to the extent that the south Londoners were able to catch them on the break twice to give them a 3-1 success and three valuable Kay Trophy points.
