ESFA 7-a-sides  - County Round - The Tower Hamlets Cup

Hackney Under  11’s just missed out on the chance to represent Inner London at National level when they lost 1-0 to a strong Lewisham side in a repeat of the final

two years ago when Hackney were the victors.

The morning started slowly for Hackney as they went down 2-1 to South London, but

they were soon challenging for a semi-final spot with an impressive 2-0 win over fancied Wandsworth. The good form continued with a 3-2 success over Camden with a semi-final to follow against Bermondsey. Hackney were again successful but the final proved one step too far as Lewisham managed to hang on to an early lead to win

the Tower Hamlets Cup and place in the Sout-East Finals of the National competition.
