Kay Trophy

Hackney Under 11’s 6, South London Under 11’s 0

Nightingale School striker Martin Reilly hit two first-half goals to put Hackney in the driving seat at Douglas Eyre as they began their defence of the Inner London Kay Trophy. Reilly struck from close range after just ten minutes and followed up with a twenty yard conversion from Myles Croxford’s left-wing cross.

In between, the visitors had much of the possession and looked strong coming forward, but when Eric Dwomoh hit a third for Hackney after the interval, the home side took complete control.

Substitute Calum McKenzie Jacobs drove home  the fourth after a dazzling solo run, and Dwomoh was again on the mark after good work from Abdu Mugabo. Skipper Croxford capped a fine personal display when he cut in to slot home the sixth in the closing minutes.
